Brandywine Pink

Many gardeners consider this strain the best Brandywine with fruit that is superior in taste and smoothness. Its tomatoes are indeed special, 1 to 2 pound pink beefsteaks with the delectably complex, rich, sweet flavor that has made Brandywine justifiably famous. Indeterminate. 85 days

Aunt Ruby's German Green

Don't let the color fool you, this one is good. Too me, it has a sweet almost winey flavor and looks cool on a plate of multi-hued tomatoes. Globe-shaped fruits are smooth skinned, 12 to 16 oz., with light green skins at maturity and just a hint of yellow. Flesh is green blushed with pink, meaty, and flavorful. Indeterminate, 80 days

Bull's Heart  

Old Russian variety from Vavilov Institute that yields, 1 to 2-pound, oxheart-shaped, pink fruit with few seeds and great taste Indeterminate, 90 days

Kellogg's Breakfast -

Lovely, pale-orange fruits are solid and meaty throughout, packed with mild, superb-tasting flesh. A long-season producer of large, beefsteak-type fruits, up to 16 oz., with solid centers that have just a few seeds at the edges. We had 2 pounders last year. Another favorite of mine! Indeterminate, 80-85 days

Mortgage Lifter

These long time favorites are also known as Radiator Charlie. They produce good yields of large, smooth, pink-skinned fruits and have few seeds, even in times of drought. Mild and delectable sweet flavor. I like these, last year we had 1-2 lb. tomatoes. Yummy. Indeterminate, 75-85 days

Pineapple

One of my personal favorites. I don't get a lot but it is well worth the growing space. The first one I ever picked was a "two hander" size! When I sliced it in half, I knew I was in love. The interior was a beautiful collage of orange, gold and red. Juicy and fruity sweet. Indeterminate, 85-90 days

Vintage Wine

Excellent tomato! One of the very few pastel-hued tomatoes. A favorite of gourmet grocers, with attractive, 1®ˆlb., pale pink/red fruits set off by golden stripes. Elegant, sweet and tasty, with a nice, mild flavor. Potato-leaved foliage. Indeterminate. 85 days

Georgia Streak  

This is a beautiful beefsteak tomato that is predominantly golden yellow with a red blush. Streaks of red run throughout the flesh. Tomatoes range from 1 to 2 lbs. and have an excellent sweet, fruity taste. Heirloom from Georgia. Indeterminate. 90 days.

Marvel Stripe  

This heirloom variety has become one of gardeners' favorite bicolored tomatoes because of its beauty, size, and taste. Large yellow-orange fruits are streaked with ruby red and have a sweet, fruity taste that is absolutely delicious. Tomatoes weigh about 1 lb., although they often become 2 lbs. or even more. Large harvests on vigorous vines. Indeterminate. 85 days.

Mr. Stripey

Another one we loved in our garden last year. It produced the biggest tomato we had, over 2 pounds! I was gorgeous red and yellow-striped heirloom variety that tasted great. Large, ridge-shouldered fruits are mild-flavored and low in acid. 80 days

Virginia Sweets

This heirloom variety is simply one of the best tasting, best producing gold-red bicolors. On top of that, the tomatoes are beautiful and enormous, weighing at least 1 pound each. Golden yellow, they have red stripes that turn into a ruby blush on top. Sweet and rich. In our garden they were huge and very pretty. Sweet too. Indeterminate. 80 days.

Rose

A large leafy heirloom that produces deep, rose-pink, 3-inch, meaty globes with a taste that rivals those varieties heralded most for their luscious taste. Seed came from Dr. Grace Kaiser, a physician in New Holland, PA who was given the seed from one of her Amish patients. 78 days

White Wonder

Mild, sweet flavored with high sugar content. Yellowish-white inside and out when matured. Fruits are large (up to one to two pounds) on bushy, leafy plants. Good for slicing and canning. Even the large sized fruits maintain good texture and flavor. Indeterminate, 90 days

German Johnson  Pink

An old-time favorite heirloom from North Carolina and Virginia features tall plants and a fairly E arly harvest of large, slightly ribbed pink-red tomatoes averaging 1 lb. They are meaty with few seeds and really excellent flavor. This one has stood the test of time for a number of reasons, but number one is its truly superior flavor. Indeterminate. 80 days.

Brandywine, Purple

Very much like potato-leaf Brandywine, but 3 inch,  fruit is darker pink to purple. Very meaty and good flavors, Indeterminate, 80 days

Brandywine, Yellow

Superbly rich and delicious-tasting large fruit, the golden variety gives good yields. Large potato-leaf plants are very sturdy and deep green. This heirloom is delicious any way you eat it! Indeterminate, 82 days.

Cherokee Purple

A reliable producer of unusual, medium pink-purple fruits that appear brown in color, and average 8 to 12 oz., a piece. Fruits are round to oblate, with no cracking. Exhibits tolerance to mild drought as well as to common diseases. Indeterminate, 80-90 days

Brandywine, Red

This special strain of Red Brandywine originated in 1885. It produces medium-sized, 8 to 12 oz. round, smooth red fruit that are juicy and loaded with intense tomato flavor. This foliage is shaped like a regular tomato leaf. Expect high yields of this very flavorful tomato. In our garden last year, I actually liked this one better than the pink variety, it produced more tomatoes. and prettier tomatoes Indeterminate. 78 day

German Red Strawberry Tomato

Loved it! Big, meaty and fine flavored in our garden. This German heirloom is the quintessential sandwich tomato. Delicious, uniform fruits resemble strawberries, but are much larger, averaging 10 oz. and 3-1/2" long. Solid meat has few seeds and little juice, yet delivers big on taste. Indeterminate, 80 days

German Giant

Big potato leaf plant producing an abundant crop of very large, 2 lb. beautiful, deep-pink tomatoes that are similar to the famed Brandywine but matures earlier. Full of rich, complex, sweet flavors that you look for in a variety that is to be highlighted in your garden. Indeterminate, 85 days.

Gold Medal

A Ben Quisenberry tomato. Wonderful, 1-1/2 lb., yellow and red bi-color beefsteak tomato with pink marbeling in blossom end, thin skin and luscious sweet, well-balanced flavors. Harvested ripe fruit lasted for a couple of weeks before showing signs lof oosing it's beauty. Indeterminate, 85 days

Big Rainbow

One of my new favorites! It saysThis spectacular heirloom tomato originally from Polk County, MN. Big, sprawling, indeterminate, regular-leaf tomato plants yield moderate to large crops of 1-2 lb. rib-shouldered bi-colored beefsteak tomatoes with gold flesh and beautiful red streaks running throughout. As fruits ripen they have a rainbow appearance: greens on the shoulder, yellow, orange, gold in the middle, and red on the blossom end. Very juicy and fruity sweet. Good disease resistance. A late producer. Great for slicing thick into sandwiches or salads. 85 days

Hillbilly -

A customer of mine gave this seed to me. The tomatoes are beautiful. An Ohio heirloom beefsteak originally from West Virginia producing 1-2 lb. huge, heavily-ribbed, orange-yellow fruit with red mottled skin and red streaks within. Very sweet, fruity flavors. Low acid. Try it in big slices with other colored tomatoes. 85 days

Gourmet Heirloom Blend

A mixture of popular heirloom varieties. Colors include yellow, orange, red, pink, green and purple as well as some bicolors. Fruits range from 6 oz. to 2 lbs. Indeterminate, 70-90

Ramapo (the Original Jersey Tomato)  

Heirloom variety reintroduced in 1992. Deep yellow-orange, large beefsteak fruit is shaped like a tangerine. The texture is meaty and flavor is both sweet and rich, quite delicious. This variety is a heavy producer. Indeterminate. 80 to 85 days

Marglobe

Marglobe was developed in 1917, introduced by the USDA in 1925 and are a disease and crack resistant heirloom variety which are a good producer of 7 to 10 ounce deep red juicy fruits. Superb tasting fruit. Marglobe tomatos can claim parentage of many of today's hybrid tomatoes. Marglobe is an excellent for canning! Determinate, 77 days

Taxi

The best tomato variety for an early, lemon-yellow tomato. Very popular. Compact, bushy, determinate, regular-leaf tomato plants that yield 4-6 ounce, meaty, uniformly-round, delicious, bright-yellow  tomatoes that are very sweet (almost seem acid-free). Tomatoes hold up well to slicing. 68 days

Limmony

A yellow orange tomato, Limmony is one of the first Russian varieties popularized in the US. An abundant Russian heirloom. Produces 4-5" tomatoes. Unlike most yellows this one is loaded  with lots of luscious, big sweet tangy flavors. Indeterminate, 85 days

Costoluto Genovese  

Italian heirloom tomatoes. Large, deep-red, juicy tomatoes are deeply ribbed but fully flavored and absolutely delicious. This variety is hearty and does well in hot weather, but continues to produce even when the weather turns cool. Indeterminate. 78 days

Box Car Willie

Ok. We liked this one too. It had nice crop of good-sized, smooth red tomatoes with delicious flavor. They weren't as big as I thought they would be, but they tasted great and were a normal size. Indeterminate. 80 days

Aussie

A favorite heirloom tomato variety from Australia. And a favorite of mine for the past 10 years as a dependable red heirloom tomato for the market, home and as a show tomato.  Our organic tomato seeds produce indeterminate, regular-leaf tomato plants that dependably yield picture-perfect, copious amounts of 1-2 lb., glossy-red, meaty, fluted, beefsteak tomatoes that are LOADED with delicious, bold, rich and complex tomatoey flavors. Great White

These are good. Their flavor is sweet and fruity. A magnificent, almost perfect, "white" tomato with low acidity and few seeds. Good drought and crack tolerance. Fruits are protected under vigorous, heavy foliage. Indeterminate, 85 days

Black Russian

This unique tomato is charcoal black/red in color when mature.  Fruits are slightly smaller than a baseball in size.  Very good flavor.  Something a little different! 

Black Plum

A favorite Russian variety that produces a long and steady crop of 2-inch elongated plum-shaped fruits colored a beautiful deep-mahogany with dusky-green shoulders. Fruit resembles a small paste tomato but with thinner walls. Unique sweet tangy flavor.

Black Pear

A black Russian tomato of Siberian origin. Heirloom seeds produce potato-leaf plants that yield crops of 6-8 oz., mahogany-brown tomatoes with dark green shoulders. Shaped like pears they are loaded with complex, sweet, well-balanced flavors. Good for cooler climates. Disease resistant. Indeterminate

Mountain Gold

A yellow-fruited tomato superior in disease resistance, plant habit and certain fruit characteristics to standard cultivars. This open-pollinated variety was released in 1993. Bred by Dr. Randolph G. Gardner at the North Carolina State Mountain Horticultural Crops Research Station. Determinate, 80 days

Amana Orange

I was surprised by it's size, color and flavor. Their deep golden orange added a very colorful element to my sandwiches and salads. The flavor was mild, sweet, delicious and the flesh very smooth to the tongue. This heirloom takes its name from Amana, Iowa. Indeterminate, 90 days
